Spidermesh

Overview

Sitemax Spidermesh takes the hassle out of scaffold containment through mesh technology that is stronger, lighter and safer than anything else on the market. Spidermesh is a patented revolutionary new Australian-made scaffold mesh offering the lowest cost per use. It is the lightest in weight and has the lowest wind load compared to equivalent Steel mesh products. The high tensile wire has been approved as being fully compliant with the requirements of Section 315D of the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011. Spidermesh is standard with the open quad net lining and is available with the widest range of lining options on the market including shadecloth of various grades, various colours, and various printed mesh options for all your site advertising requirements. This makes Spidermesh the most versatile mesh on the market. Spidermesh – the stronger, lighter and safer solution that has your next scaffolding project covered.

Benefits

Stronger

The hi-tensile Spidermesh wire is almost double the strength of standard wire requirements making it a stronger, fully-compliant choice for your peace of mind. Spidermesh is a highly durable product with feedback that it is the most re-useable product on the market. This reduces the cost per use resulting in improved profits on all your scaffold jobs. There are a number of features that make this possible:
  • A unique chainwire design with a weldlink that prevents tangle and makes it easy to roll and unroll.
  • The lining can be removed and replaced without impacting the chainwire.
  • The chainwire is not affected by UV like other composite mesh products.

Lighter

Improved installation, transport and scaffold loading Spidermesh is 30% lighter than equivalent chain and shade products reducing installation time and impact on workers, transport costs and scaffold loading.
  • Less mesh weight = quicker installs.
  • Less mesh weight = less scaffold load capacity lost as a result of the weight of the mesh.

Safer

Reduced weight making the product safer to handle

Due to Spidermesh’s materials and design, significant reduction in product mass has been achieved. In turn the impacts of manual labour on workers will be reduced, meaning fewer repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and a more effective workforce.

Reduced wind loading making the scaffolding safer

Spidermesh SCQ with quad net lining offers a significant reduction in wind loading. With the 9mm apertures of quad net the product has six times the open area of rigid panel options, two times the open area of other composite mesh products, and 20% more open area than 25mm grid options. The reduction in wind loading means fewer wall ties, and less requirements for raker ties this in turn reduces the time and cost to erect Scaffold adding further to the profitability of your projects.

Reduced opening sizes making the surrounding area safer

Spidermesh SCQ with quad mesh has apertures of only 9mm, compared to other 25mm low wind load solutions. Providing a 90% reduction in potential debris size that can penetrate the scaffold containment. This has potential to be life-saving.
