The History
of Sitemax
2003
John Eade and three of his children resign from their full-time employment with a vision to make scaffold containment easy. Using 3pl logistics, they establish Scafclad from their home office.
2004
Scafclad moves from the home office to a 130m2 shed on the Sunshine Coast.
2007
Further expansion of the business means it’s time for Scafclad to move again, this time to a 580m2 office/warehouse.
2011
Scafclad acquires Vismark - a manufacturer of wide format and WHS signage that is used around construction sites.
2012
Scafclad moves to their new 1400m2 premises to expand the manufacturing capacity and cater to the rapidly growing demand for onsite advertising.
2013
The Kwikmax brand of the Kwikstage galvanised scaffold system is launched in response to the market’s need for a properly tested system.
2014
Scafclad and Vismark officially merge and the Sitemax story begins!
2015
Sitemax steps up to customer requests to better service the Western Australian market, opening their warehouse in Perth.
2016
Sitemax invests heavily into Latex printing technology, becoming the first dedicated supplier of signage to the construction industry in Australia to do so. This enables the production of most products without the use of harmful solvents.
2017
An office and warehouse facility is established in Sydney, enhancing logistics and operational efficiencies to provide improved service for construction projects and customers throughout New South Wales.
2018
Sitemax is proud to bring chain wire manufacturing back to Australia, enhancing quality control and generating additional employment opportunities for local communities.
2018
In response to growing market demand, Sitemax relocates to a larger 3000m2 office and manufacturing facility in Gympie, enhancing operation efficiency and inventory management to ensure timely order fulfillment - delivering what customers need when they need it.
2019
Driven by a strong commitment to exceed customer expectations, Sitemax establishes an office in Thorneside to better service projects and customers based in Brisbane.
2020
Upholding a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, Sitemax invests in solar-powered technology, significantly reducing their carbon footprint and exemplifying their dedication to eco-friendly practices.
2021
Dedicated to streamlining procurement and ordering efficiency, Sitemax launches an online portal, enabling account holders to access their portfolio of customised signs and explore all debris containment, environmental encapsulation, and temporary signage products.
2023
Guided by their values and purpose, Sitemax marks two decades in the industry, experiencing continuous growth and employing over 30 dedicated team members who collaborate seamlessly to streamline processes and enhance customer experiences.
