Spidermesh™ combines a reusable Australian steel frame with a replaceable containment liner, helping reduce unnecessary replacement while maintaining compliance and performance.
Supporting the system are J-Ties, durable galvanised steel containment fixings that can be recovered through established steel recycling streams at end of life.
Together, they provide a more circular approach to scaffold containment.

Solar Powered Energy
Investment in solar power generation helps reduce reliance on grid energy across our manufacturing operations, contributing to an estimated reduction of 6.5 tonnes of carbon emissions per month (FY2026).
Reducing Waste
We continually review our manufacturing and operational processes to reduce waste, improve material efficiency and support more responsible resource use across our business. More than 50% of our total waste is recycled, preventing 260.3m3 of waste from going to landfill.
Australian Manufacturing
We manufacture many of our products in Australia, helping support local industry and reduce supply chain complexity. 24% of our revenue came from recyclable products, including 12% made with recycled materials (FY2024).
Latex Printing Technology
Our signage and branding products are printed using HP Latex technology, a water-based printing process that can reduce VOC emissions by up to 70% compared to traditional solvent-based printing methods.
Working in partnership with Greenfleet
We're proud to be part of the fleet, offsetting 110 tonnes of Co2 emissions and reducing our carbon footprint through partnership with Greenfleet - Australia's first carbon offset provider.
Greenfleet has planted enough biodiverse native trees in protected forests to offset these emissions, restoring native forests and ecosystems that serve as crucial habitats for endangered wildlife, helping counter the devastating impact of bushfires and climate change.

What sustainability initiatives does Sitemax have in place?
Sitemax is committed to developing sustainable solutions for containment, encapsulation and signage, delivering eco-friendly alternatives to Australia's construction industry. Does Sitemax offset its carbon emissions?
Yes. Sitemax partners with Greenfleet, Australia's first carbon offset provider, offsetting 110 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Does Sitemax use solar power?

How is Sitemax reducing waste?
Sitemax actively reduces waste through lean practices, recycling, using recycled and recyclable materials in our products, and fostering a paper-free work environment.
Are Sitemax's printing inks environmentally friendly?
Yes. Sitemax's Hewlett-Packard (HP) industrial printers use environmentally friendly water-based latex inks that are UL ECOLOGO® certified and GREENGUARD GOLD certified, producing low chemical emissions during indoor use.
What are EnviroSigns and EnviroBanner?
EnviroSigns and EnviroBanner are Sitemax's eco-friendly alternatives to traditional PVC vinyl banners and banner mesh. EnviroSigns are recyclable, and EnviroBanner products are PVC-free, using fewer resources in manufacturing and able to be recycled in Australia.
Are Sitemax's containment products recyclable?
Many Sitemax chainwire containment products are made from recycled and recyclable steel. Spidermesh™ is also designed for reuse, with customers reporting five or more projects before the shade cloth lining requires replacement. This reduces material waste and provides a more sustainable alternative to single-use polymer containment products.
What is AASB S2 and does it apply to construction suppliers?
AASB S2 is Australia's mandatory climate reporting standard, effective from 1 January 2025 and embedded in the Corporations Act 2001. It requires in-scope companies to publish annual disclosures covering climate-related risks, governance, and greenhouse gas emissions, including Scope 3 supply chain emissions. Reporting applies progressively: Group 1 (500+ employees, $500M+ revenue, or $1B+ assets) from 1 January 2025, Group 2 (250+ employees, $500M+ assets, or $20M+ revenue) from 1 July 2026, and Group 3 (smaller entities meeting lower thresholds) from 1 July 2027.
What is the Environmentally Sustainable Procurement (ESP) Policy?
The ESP Policy, administered by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), requires tenderers for Commonwealth construction services contracts worth $7.5 million or more to submit a Supplier Environmental Sustainability Plan (SESP) with their tender, addressing climate, environment, and circularity.
Does Sitemax publish Scope 3 supply chain carbon data?
Product-level carbon footprint data (Scope 3, Category 1) is not currently published by Sitemax, as this is in development while reporting requirements under AASB S2 continue to evolve. In the meantime, Sitemax provides verified supporting data across operational carbon reduction, recyclable product specifications, Australian sourcing, and waste diversion.
What is Sitemax's Sustainability Credentials Pack?
The Sitemax Sustainability Credentials Pack is a downloadable document setting out Sitemax's verified environmental credentials, including carbon offsetting, solar energy investment, recyclable and reusable product specifications, Australian sourcing data, waste diversion figures, and print process certifications. It includes ready-to-use suggested wording for tender submissions and ESG reports, plus supporting certificates and declarations available on request.
How can I use the Sustainability Credentials Pack in a tender or ESG report?
Each credential in the pack includes suggested wording that can be copied directly into a tender submission or ESG report and adapted to your format, along with a framework alignment map covering AASB S2, GRI Standards, the ESP Policy, and the Infrastructure Sustainability Rating Scheme.
Does Sitemax hold a signed Australian sourcing declaration?
Yes. Sitemax Group Pty Ltd holds a signed Australian Sourcing Declaration confirming that 76.08% of its products and services were sourced from Australian suppliers in FY2026. A copy of this declaration is provided in our Sustainability Credentials Pack to support tender submissions, ESG reporting, and supply chain assessments.
Are Sitemax's environmental credentials independently verified?
Some are third-party verified, including the Greenfleet carbon offset certificate and HP's UL GREENGUARD Gold and UL ECOLOGO certifications for its Latex inks. Others, such as the solar power emissions reduction estimate, are based on Sitemax's own internal operational data and are labelled as estimates where independent verification has not been obtained.
