Designed for Temporary fencing, site perimetersand building wraps on active construction projects
Construction sites are high-risk, highly visible environments. Temporary fencing, site perimeters and building wraps must clearly communicate boundaries, safety information and project branding — without introducing wind risk, tearing, or ongoing maintenance issues. When banner mesh fails on site, it creates safety concerns, looks unprofessional and leads to costly call-backs and replacements.
Banner mesh is widely used on construction and property projects because it provides visibility and impact while allowing wind to pass through. However, not all banner mesh is built for real site conditions. Poor edge strength, inadequate wind performance and low print durability are common causes of early failure.
Sitemax banner mesh is engineered specifically for active construction and property environments. Designed to perform on temporary fencing, exposed perimeters and large-scale building wraps, our mesh solutions prioritise safety, durability and consistent presentation — helping builders, developers and site managers maintain compliant, professional sites from start to finish.

Banner Mesh FAQs
What is banner mesh (also known as bannermesh) used for?
Banner mesh, sometimes searched as "bannermesh," is a printed, wind-permeable material used on temporary fencing, site perimeters and building wraps to communicate boundaries, safety information and project branding on active construction sites. Sitemax's banner mesh range, including Select Mesh and Maxflow Mesh, is engineered specifically for real construction and property site conditions.
What's the difference between Select Mesh and Maxflow Mesh banner mesh?
Select Mesh offers 80% blockout with eyelets every 600mm, delivering high-resolution, vivid print quality for general site branding. Maxflow Mesh is built for high-wind areas, with 60% blockout and eyelets every 750mm to reduce wind load while maintaining strong visual impact. Both bannermesh options come with UV stabilisation, reinforced edging and a 2-year warranty.
Is banner mesh available with fire retardant certification?
Yes, both Select Mesh and Maxflow Mesh can be manufactured with FlameX fire retardant, giving your bannermesh full safety compliance alongside its branding and visibility function on construction sites.
What customisation options are available for banner mesh?
Sitemax's bannermesh can be customised with a range of roll sizes, keder tape edging, rope edging and wind flaps, in addition to the FlameX fire retardant option. All banner mesh is printed in-house in Australia with high-resolution, vibrant colour and a durable finish.
Why does banner mesh tear or fail on construction sites?
Poor edge strength, inadequate wind performance and low print durability are the most common causes of early bannermesh failure. Sitemax's Select Mesh and Maxflow Mesh both feature reinforced edging as standard, and can be further strengthened with EdgeX for even greater tear resistance in high-wind or long-duration projects.
What is EdgeX and how does it strengthen banner mesh?
EdgeX is Sitemax's reinforced banner mesh edging upgrade, using a high-strength keder tape thermally welded to the mesh edge before eyelets are installed. It delivers up to 60% greater tear resistance, giving your bannermesh a stronger edge on exposed perimeters and building wraps.
Can banner mesh be used for scaffold containment or building wraps, not just fencing?
Yes, Sitemax's banner mesh is suitable for temporary fencing, exposed site perimeters, scaffold containment and large-scale building wraps. It can be requested for scaffold containment or building wrap applications directly through Sitemax's banner mesh quote process.
Does Sitemax install banner mesh, or is it supply-only?
Sitemax installs banner mesh Australia-wide, alongside fencing construction services engineered specifically for bannermesh, artwork design support and full site evaluation, so you're covered from initial planning through to installation.
Is banner mesh suitable for high-wind construction sites?
Yes, Maxflow Mesh is purpose-built for high-wind areas, with a 60% blockout ratio and wider eyelet spacing designed to let wind pass through while keeping the bannermesh secure on temporary fencing and site perimeters.
What warranty does Sitemax's banner mesh come with?
Both Select Mesh and Maxflow Mesh bannermesh products come with a 2-year warranty as standard, reflecting their UV stabilisation, reinforced edging and build quality for ongoing use on active construction and property sites.
